My Embroidery Portfolio

This is where all my embroidery pieces come to life. I am, above all, most passionate about the fiber art I create. Embroidery got me back into art in 2020 when most of us were stuck at home during quarantine and trying out new hobbies. I had always had my eye on embroidery and when I started learning I never wanted to stop. I am a self taught fiber artist. I love working with thread and fabric. I love adding color to something that is flat and one dimensional in its pattern at the beginning. I love knowing that something beautiful is going to come out of a collection of stitches.
In my embroidery work I am drawn the most to florals, like my digital work. I love the colors and the possibility. Flowers can grown anywhere, be anything, take so many different shapes if you believe that they can. I love mushrooms and pushing the natural boundaries of where they can grown or what they can look like. I love adding as much color to something as possible. If it can be whimsical, it will be and that's what I aim to do with my pieces.
